Olshan Represents Assembly OSM in Construction of Brooklyn Modular Apartment Building
Olshan represented Assembly OSM, an early-stage company focused on building highly efficient and sustainable urban new construction through innovative modular processes, in its construction of a three-story modular apartment building at 147 Saint Felix Street in Brooklyn. Installed in less than a day, the building comprises two duplex apartments, a garage and a community space and is part of a pilot program in which Assembly plans to perfect a high-rise modular construction system that will enable faster construction, improve cost certainty and deliver higher quality buildings. The development is the test model for the company’s bigger 15-story apartment building at 247 117th Street in Harlem that is in planning stages (“Olshan Represents Assembly OSM in $3M Bridge Loan from NYCEEC for East Harlem Passive House Multifamily Building”). Co-Chair of Olshan’s Real Estate Law practice Thomas Kearns led the Olshan team that represented Assembly OSM in the acquisition and joint ventures for both properties, which also included real estate partner Hyman Kindler and Sari Kreutzer.
