Olshan Defends U.S. Polo Association in New Ralph Lauren Lawsuit Over Retail Stores
Law 360 reported on the decades-long history of disputes between Olshan client United States Polo Association Inc. (USPA) and Polo Ralph Lauren USA Holdings Inc. (Ralph Lauren) over use of USPA’s "Double Horsemen" logo on its retail stores. Most recently, Ralph Lauren claims USPA does not have the right to use the Double Horsemen mark to sell apparel in its flagship Times Square location, SoHo store and on-line. USPA argues that, when it won the right after trial to sell apparel, watches and leather goods bearing the Double Horsemen logo, it won the right to use the logo on stores selling those goods. Kyle Bisceglie and Steve Gursky are representing the USPA.
